Pedigree Chart Sample 1

Coding an unbalanced table -- one with uneven columns and rows -- takes both patience and concentration. I have coded each row in this example in a different color so the rows and number of cells in each row are obvious. This pedigree is constructed using 8 rows and 5 columns, but NOTE that only Row 1 (cream) has data in all 5 columns. Row 2 (pale blue) has only 2 cells. Row 3 (pink) has 3 cells, and Row 4 (pale green) has 2 cells again. Row 5 (white) has data in every column except the first, etc. If you make the entire table all one color, this is a simple but effective was of presenting a pedigree in HTML.
