TMG Reports: Individual Bibliography Report

A Quick Individual Bibliography

Question: I wish TMG had an option to let me view all the sources I've used for an individual. I know I can go to each event and view the sources used event by event, but I want a quick way to see my "bibliography" for an individual.

You can read the following instructions if you choose, but I would recommend clicking the third of the report icons on the TMG 5.x toolbar. One click and a Bibliography of Sources used for your "Current Focus Person" will appear on the screen.

This report is actually part of the Individual Narrative report to an HTML file.

Create an Individual Narrative report to an HTML file.
Add a Custom Button to your toolbar to run this report.
Add a Custom Button to your toolbar to open your web browser.
Add the file name for your resulting Bibliography report to your web browser's Bookmarks.
My bookmarks for my TMG reports are at the top of my browser's Bookmark list. This way, it takes very little time to find them and view the report.

When the above tasks are completed, viewing the bibliography of sources for an individual is simply a series of mouse clicks.

Click on your Individual Narrative report button.
As this is a "Prompt When Generated" report, your desired individual's number will appear; keep clicking on "Okay" until the report is run and you are returned to the Person View.
Click on your Web Browser button.
Open your Bookmarks list and click on the marker titled "Bibliography."
Your Individual Bibliography will be easily viewed.
