Showing the selection of three folders from the right hand side to the left. As I am taking an entire folder, I have dragged and dropped it into the far left column. If they were just files, they would have been dropped into the second from the left column.

I have renamed the root folder to reflect the files that will be on this disk. To rename the cd, click once on the orgional cd name and then press F2. You can now rename the cd. I would suggest that you use names without spaces or special characters to give the greatest compatiblity.

Occasionally, you may have a name or folder that does not follow the standards. Nero will rename it properly. If this is ok, then click on the ok and continue.

Writing the cd. The small window shows the steps that have been taken to this point. It has cached the files to a single ISO file on the hard drive, the proceeded to burn the cd. There is a progress bar and a percentage of buffer memory guage. This can be used to determine a problem if you do not complete the burn. The buffer should be 95% or above to prevent 'buffer underrun' . If this occurs, then select a slower burn speed from the earlier Write window on the next try. This window shows 0% at the very first of the burn.

After the burn of the data, Nero will still have to create Lead-in and Lead-out tracks. The buffer no longer shows a usage percentage. Note that I have the box to check the data checked. This will verify all the files that I have burned to the cd.

The verifying step. This checks to see that all the files are on the cd, that they check against the orgionals on the hard drive. This is an optional step, but highly recommended.

This window shows the final box to remove the temporary ISO file that was created at the start. Unless you are going to create multiple copies of the same CD, there is no need to retain these. Deleteing removes them from the hard drive. It does not remove the orgional files which can be used to create another cd if you wish.
