Examples of SSI #include

SSI (Server-side Includes) allow you to imbed text (HTML or plain) in a web page.

Same directory:

• File to be imbedded - /~elsi/imbed1.txt
• Page where this file is to be imbedded - /~elsi/SSI-example1.html
• SSI code - <!--#include file="imbed1.txt" -->

From higher directory:

• File to be imbedded - /~elsi/imbed1.txt
• Page where this file is to be imbedded - /~elsi/down1/SSI-example2.html
• SSI code - <!--#include virtual="../imbed1.txt" -->

From lower directory:

• File to be imbedded - /~elsi/down1/imbed2.txt
• Page where this file is to be imbedded - /~elsi/SSI-example3.html
