Search billions of records on Ancestry.com

Introduction:
I have been one of the folk who have wished for a searchable index of the NZSG magazines..so rather than just keep asking, I thought I would trial some possibilities.

I have unofficially approached a member of the Project's Committee and am awaiting further feedback.

Initial thoughts were that the areas of INFORMATION WANTED, OFFERED, CONTACT SOUGHT, REUNIONS and MEMBERS INTERESTS would be omitted.
My personal feeling is that a wealth of info can be gained from these sections, even if for various reasons the person can no longer be contacted (who placed the ad).

I Have not recorded place names, as it becomes too big a task, apart from names have stuck with ships, some roads, locations.

CODES used:
X PERSON
B Book
C Company/Business
D Cemetery/Church
E Employment
L Location
P Place/Building
O Organisation
S SHIP (followed by year of arrival)
R Road
The person placing the "ad" is indicated by Contact: X X, hopefully this allows grouping and matching of names

2006 sorted by SURNAME or DESCRIPTION

2007 was done first, with family names only, and instead of Contact, NZSG member stated. It should be self explanatory, and is only meant as a guide and timesaver back to the journal. IT may be of use and may not….
